Why Wyrd Spinster?
Wyrd, in Old English, means fate.
It’s the same root behind the “Weird Sisters” in Macbeth — the witches who spun destinies in shadow and smoke.
Spinster was once a word for a woman who spun yarn. Later, it became a way to dismiss women who chose their own path.
Wyrd Spinster is a reclamation of both.
A fate-spinner. A solitary maker. A hand at work in color and fiber.
Here, everything is small-batch, hand-dyed, and deeply personal.
No two braids alike. Every batch is wyrd.
